In 2024, Goodfellas Impact Coalition led a powerful voter registration drive in Wimauma, empowering residents to make their voices heard. Understanding that civic engagement is a key part of community strength, we worked hand-in-hand with local leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations to ensure that everyone in our community had access to the information and resources needed to participate in the democratic process.
Our team set up registration stations at community hubs like Tut’s Place Lot and Bethune Park, creating welcoming spaces where neighbors could ask questions, complete their registrations, and learn about the importance of voting. We also went door-to-door, spreading awareness about voter registration deadlines and encouraging first-time voters to take the first step in shaping their future.
The drive wasn’t just about signing up—it was about building confidence, understanding the power of each vote, and reminding our community that when we stand together, we create lasting change. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and community partners, Wimauma took an important step forward in civic participation and advocacy in 2024.
